Grandma's Scottish Oat Cakes

Grandma says: "Now my dears, picture thick wholesome oat cakes, slathered with butter and topped with hot homemade syrup. What could be better?

Scottish oatcakes are a nice change from pancakes of a cold, wintery morn. When you want something a little different, these are sure to please.

You combine oats with other yummy ingredients and you serve your oatcakes hot for breakfast, cold as a tea go-along or pack them into a lunch for a nibble of down home goodness!"
